UFC Vegas 19 – Blaydes vs Lewis Predictions

If you are a fan of fight time, UFC Vegas 19 is absolutely the card for you. We are closing in on the weekend with 15 scheduled fights, and even if we lose some fights leading up to the card, this will be the most fight volume laden card we’ve had in some time.
UFC Fight Night Predictions: Blaydes vs Lewis Main Card
This is the second of three consecutive Fight Night cards that feature a heavyweight main event. Everyone saw Alexander Volkov keep himself in the conversation at the top of the division, and now Curtis Blaydes and Derrick Lewis will be looking to do the same.

We will not have UFC picks on the Curtis Blaydes vs Derrick Lewis matchup, but that is not due to having a lack of a lean. We won’t have a wager due to the proper but excessive -425 betting line on Curtis Blaydes.
Blaydes is the best wrestler in the heavyweight division and makes no bones about his game plan in any given fight. He will come in, take his opponents down, work on top and repeat as necessary.
This fight with Derrick Lewis is as positive of a stylistic matchup as Blaydes will have as Lewis’ takedown defense is subpar to poor. Lewis, while heavy handed, has just that puncher’s chance of winning this matchup.
If he doesn’t score a KO on the durable Blaydes, he will be the loser of a lopsided fight. Lewis simply does not strike in volume and is easily taken down, and Blaydes will dictate this fight from start to finish.
