UFC Vegas 26 should have been an absolute banger of a Fight Night, and it is still a quality one, just not on the level it originally was. The original main event banger between TJ Dillashaw and Cory Sandhagen had to be postponed. The new main event between Marina Rodriguez and Michelle Waterson is certainly not a quality main event, but it is a quality fight. Fortunately for this card, quality fights are rampant on it. What we lack in the main event finale, we make up for in the fights leading up to.
UFC Vegas 26 Predictions: Rodriguez vs Waterson & MORE
There are at least four high quality matchups on the main card, excluding the main event. Donald Cerrone takes on Alex Morono in the co-main event. This will be a great measuring stick as to just how steep of a decline Cowboy Cerrone has taken. Heavy handed Geoff Neal looks to bounce back from a loss to Wonderboy Thompson as he takes on long ranked Neil Magny. Amanda Ribas returns after her first promotional loss as she takes on Angela Hill. Finally, in the people’s main event, Gregor Gillespie, very similarly to Ribas, returns from a loss to take on Diego Ferreira.
The above is why I say this remains quite a quality card, despite the absence of a reasonable main event. There are plenty of reasons to tune in, even before getting to our wagers.
