This is the first time I think a back to back scenario will be draining enough to create a play against on the season. The Miami Heat had an overtime win in Toronto on Tuesday and now have to travel to Boston. This will be the fourth back to back for the Heat on the season and they are 0-3 on the back half so far. Those losses have come by 7, 15 and 26 points, so we may have an exploitable trend here, considering they’ve lost just five games on the season. They are averaging just 92.7 points on the back end of the back to back. Both teams will be without a large role guard as the Heat are missing Goran Dragic and the Boston Celtics are expected to be without Marcus Smart so there’s not a plethora of injury worry in this one. Both teams are top eight in defensive efficiency but it’s more notable for Boston given the trend of anemic offense for the Heat in these scenarios. It’s also worth noting Boston is 3-0 when coming off at least two days off.

The Mavericks rolled on the back of Luka Doncic dropping 33-18-5 in just three quarters of action. The Pels just couldn’t keep up in the second half and it ultimately lead to a non competitive fourth quarter, sinking the under.
