Pick Against The Spread – Philadelphia 76ers at Boston Celtics

We capitalized on the 76ers at home on Tuesday, now we get the other side of the coin on Thursday night. They are actually a losing team on the road, with just a 5-7 road record and they are traveling to face an opponent in the Celtics who also remain perfect at home this season at 10-0. The Boston Celtics aren’t the sexiest team this year, and don’t have massive star power but they are quietly very good. They edge Philly in defensive efficiency as both are in the top 10 but are noticeably better on the offensive efficiency side. This line feels as if it were set for a neutral court and not at home in Boston and I like the Celtics a lot for a win.

On Tuesday, the majority of the fourth quarter saw the 76ers (-4) leading by between five and ten points. It got dicey towards the end and was a real sweat. The Nuggets cut it to three late in the game but were forced to foul, and the Embiid made free throws were the difference. 76ers with the win and cover to stay perfect at home.

On Wednesday, the Rockets (-11) were just a three man show on offense, with even less help than usual. They won by just six on the back of a combined 34 of 60 shooting for a combined 88 points from James Harden, Russell Westbrook and Clint Capela. The rest of the team shot 9 of 27 for a combined 28 points. Just a little help from anyone else would have gotten us to a cover.

1-1  on the stretch brings us to 30-22 on the season.
