One of the top NHL games for Friday is the Dallas Stars vs the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Stars have started the season in a surprisingly poor fashion and have lost the last four games. Dallas was preseason destined as one of the favorites to make it all the way to the Stanley Cup. It is still early in the season but Dallas are in desperate need of win. There is plenty of talent it the team so there is no doubt that the potential is there. The question is simply when they will get it going and start to win and tonight would be a good time to do so.
The Penguins are in second place of the Metropolitan Division and have a 5-2 record so far this season. The injuries that hit them in the early games have not stopped them from lining up win after win.
Just looking at the last few games Pittsburgh Penguins should be the favorites which is also reflected in the money line (-143) but looking at the pure team strength and considering that Dallas should sooner or later turn the trend around and start winning games. We believe this time is tonight and that the odds are in favor for a moneyline bet on the Stars (+118).
