After having multiple variations and starting times of multiple games on Monday night, I think the league should look at the idea of more than one game in prime time as a permanent change. It was much more enjoyable than the singular island game. Even still, the one island game is something to look forward to every Monday, and any day with more NFL is a damn good day. Let’s take a look at Monday Nigths free NFL expert picks.
Chicago Bears 5-1 at Los Angeles Rams 4-2
8:15 PM EST
Opening Line: Rams -7.5 and 47
Current Line: Rams -6 and 44.5
Moving onto our specific Monday night matchup, we should get something of a defensive battle. In fact, these two teams have combined to only allow any opponent to score over 23 points twice this season. The Rams had their hiccup week three in Buffalo while the Bears also had their hiccup week three in Atlanta.
Another similarity between these two teams is their propensity for playing one score games. They have combined for only two games decided by more than a single score. With an expected low scoring affair and teams that play tight matchups, getting points means a bit more than it would in a shootout type of situation.
Getting six points with the Bears feels generous, as they are not a sexy team, but they are getting the job done on a weekly basis, as their 5-1 record suggests. With the total bet down to a place where will be avoiding the under, the Bears are certainly the most sound play in this game, and +6 figure is one I see as value. Take the Bears for your flat play on Monday night.

Prop Plays
David Montgomery
In this game as a whole, we have one general weakness from either defense that also has a known high end role for the player that will be attacking it. That is David Montgomery against the Rams rushing defense.
While both teams are quite high end against the pass and have their hiccups against the run, the Rams weekly committee usage is an unknown, while we know Montgomery will operate as a bell cow since losing Tarik Cohen to injury.
He gets all of the rushing work and is heavily involved in the passing game as well, and we will be attacking both his rushing and total yardage props. The 58.5 figure on the rushing prop is a favorable one, as is the 82.5 figure on total yardage. Montgomery is our lone avenue of attack on the player side in this game.
