With Brandon Ingram, the Pelicans best player and scorer, being ruled right before tip off, the strength of play on the over took a massive hit, and it ultimately fell shy of the number by six points. The Rockets also tried to blow the cover late but they held on for a 6 point win.
1-1 bringing us to 15-8 on the NBA season.

Cleveland Cavaliers at Philadelphia 76ers
The 76ers are already without injured swiss army knife Ben Simmons, and have ruled out Al Horford a day in advance of this contest. This will put even added pressure on Joel Embiid and Tobias Harris for scoring and the interior defense of the Cavs is very good. The 76ers will also be losing out on the defensive end of the floor without Horford. I noted the Cavs are a much tougher out under the coaching of Beilien last week, and we get a favorable spot to make that actionable in a game that will be competitive and saw the line open far too wide.
