Gambling in Colorado

For being a moderately small state in terms of population (5,6 million) Colorado has a lot of casinos, 42 to be correct. All of these could potentially launch land based and online sports betting but considering the hefty license fees and operational costs for running a competitive sportsbook it is unlikely that the smaller establishments will enter the sports betting market.

So far around +12 of the land based casinos have applied for a sports betting license.

Legal Casino Gambling in Colorado is currently only taking place in the 42 established casinos with no option online available. In case any chances would apply to the current regulation for online gambling in Colorado one could expect a massive number of online casinos being launched but for now citizens in the Centennial State have to satisfy with Colorado Sports Betting Online.

Casinos are based out of four different locations. The Native American Tribes operate their gambling establishments in Towaoc and the State law approves casinos in Black Hawk, Cripple Creek and Central City.
