Betting Play For Thursday
New Orleans Pelicans 5-9 at Phoenix Suns 7-6
Opening Line: Suns -4.5 and 233.5
Current Line: Suns -4 and 233.5
The Suns will be without Aron Baynes in this matchup, are already missing Deandre Ayton and are almost assuredly missing Ricky Rubio as well. This group being off the floor reverts the team back to its status as just an extremely low level team in the mold of the 2018 version. Competent point guard play allowing Devin Booker to play his natural two spot has truly made this team take a big step forward this season, but the player that brought that is Rubio and he’ll be out tonight. The Pelicans are also getting healthier as they got Brandon Ingram back and could potentially get Lonzo Ball and Jahlil Okafor back tonight as well. This is a spot where the injured Suns players will have a larger bearing on the outcome than they did on the betting line, and a spot to attack the underdog Pels for a cover and win.
Betting Picks: Pelicans +4
