UFC Vegas 33 - Strickland vs Hall Predictions & More

UFC Vegas 33 comes at you 4PM EST this Saturday from the Apex in Las Vegas. UFC Vegas 33 comes on the heels of last week’s Vegas 32 Fight Night card, and we are certainly lacking the star power we got to enjoy last week. What this card lacks in star power, it did make for in quantity, at least initially. We have lost the co-main event and another fight this week, but still have 13 fights on tap. 

The main event will be a middleweight strikers battle between Sean Strickland and Uriah Hall. Strickland carries a -215 price tag and there is probably some marginal value on him at that price. He has looked very good since his return from his motorcycle accident, but not at all times. If he dispatched Jotko the way he should have in his last fight, I would be more eager to lay the -215. I somewhat confidently think he out volumes Hall and lands the cleaner shots throughout the fight, but am more compelled to sit out than to lay over 2:1. Hall does carry natural power and anything can happen over five rounds. 

The remainder of the card, including the co-main event, reads like a 12 fight undercard. We do not have star power at any level outside of the main event. Even without the name draw, we should dget a fun enough card. More than half the fights are predicted to end inside the distance by the oddsmakers, and we do have some very solid betting opportunities throughout the card. We will have four plays on this card, so let’s get to them.
