UFC 273 features 13 fights live from Jacksonvile, Florida. The Card marks the third straight live event on the road. Of course UFC London turned out to be one of the best cards of all time. UFC Columbus was not quite as jaw dropping, but it was still a solid card. At the end of the day, fans in seats make for better fights.
The 13 fight card will see the first fighters make the walk at 6PM EST on Saturday, April 9th. The event takes place at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville. You can stream live on ESPN+ for the early prelims and Pay Per View portions. The televised prelims are on ESPN.

✅ Pick - Piera Rodriguez -125 over Kay Hansen
Rodriguez will be making her UFC debut, and doing so as a favorite. She is certainly the superior striker. The fight taking place on the feet will offer her the path of least resistance. While she has a wrestling edge as well, Hansen is a bit better on the floor. Rodriguez would do well to simply piece up Hansen on the feet.
✅ Pick - Anthony Hernandez ITD -125 over Josh Fremd
Fremd is another UFC debutant, but not one that will find similar success to Rodriguez. Fremd is quite hittable, and that hole in his game was exposed by significantly lesser competition. Hernandez will be able to land clean shots throughout. Hernandez also has a small wrestling edge but a large edge as a grappler and in terms of submissions.
✅ Pick - Aleksei Oleinik -110 over Jared Vanderaa
Vanderaa is precisely the type of matchup that is tailor made for Oleinik. Vanderaa lacks power for the heavyweight division, but also needs to stand and strike to find success. His takedown defense is quite poor, and has been finished on the floor twice in the UFC already. That is a bad combo for the most decorated submission in heavyweight MMA history.
✅ Pick - Mark O Madsen +115 over Vinc Pichel
Viinc Pichel is something of a jack of all trades but master of none. He is a technically sound striker but lacks big power and throws just moderate volume. He is a sound wrestler, but the wrestling game is Madsen's world. Madsen will level up in this fight once again following his second camp at Fight Ready. We saw vastly improved striking in his last fight. We will see more improvements and he will be able to dictate where the fight takes place.
