The NFL MVP award is the highest honor that an NFL player can earn. It is also one of the few individual awards in the NFL where betting takes place virtually year round. Patrick Mahomes +500

Patrick Mahomes tops the list of the players with the best 2021 NFL MVP odds. He finished second in the voting for the 2020 edition of the award and has won it once before. Mahomes helped the Chiefs get to their second straight Super Bowl this past season, and only failed to win MVP because of the massive numbers that Aaron Rodgers put up. If he plays anywhere near the level he did last season, Mahomes will be on the short list of candidates for NFL MVP once again.

Despite coming into the year with relatively long MVP odds NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers managed to take the award for the 2020 season. He was simply unstoppable during the regular season and for much of the postseason as well. His connection with Davante Adams is the most explosive quarterback-wide receiver combination in the recent history of the NFL. And with that pairing set to run it back in 2021, there is no reason to believe that Rodgers can’t win a second consecutive MVP trophy.

Josh Allen +1300

Josh Allen was a consistent star for the Buffalo Bills over the course of the 2020 season. He finished fifth in the NFL in passing yards, yards per attempt and passing touchdowns. If he can take another step forward and boost those numbers in 2021, he certainly has a chance to be in the MVP discussion next year. If he and Stefon Diggs can continue to improve their rapport, there is a chance that the Bills could also be one of the top contenders to win next year’s Super Bowl.

Russell Wilson +1400

For the majority of the 2020 NFL season, Russell Wilson was the front-runner to win the MVP award. He was putting up huge numbers for a Seahawks team that was winning high-scoring games the majority of the time. But the Seahawks’ offense slowed down toward the end of the year, with Wilson’s numbers taking a tumble as a result. If Wilson can get more consistent production throughout the season, he might be able to leap over the favorites to win this award.

Dak Prescott +1500

Injuries ruined the 2020 NFL season for Dak Prescott. The Cowboys signal caller suffered a gruesome leg injury that ended his season, putting his future with the Cowboys in doubt as well. Prescott is an unrestricted free agent heading into the 2021 offseason, which means that he could end up anywhere in the NFL. No matter where he ends up, though, his ability to move outside of the pocket and throw both while stationary and on the run make him a strong contender for MVP.

Deshaun Watson +1500

Another quarterback who could be on the move is Deshaun Watson. Watson led the NFL in passing yards in 2020, but the Texans are in the process of looking into potential trades for the franchise quarterback after a disastrous 2020 campaign. Watson has proven that he can turn even the worst roster into a team that can put up points. If he goes somewhere with a solid foundation under him, he could easily turn his talents into an MVP award.

While there are a ton of viable options with decent NFL MVP odds, Russell Wilson is going to be the player who wins it. Seattle found something great with its defense at the end of last year, even if the year didn’t end in a lengthy playoff run. With WIlson’s playmaking ability, the Seahawks could end up being one of the top seeds in the NFC. And at 14/1 odds, there is value in Mr. Unlimited to take home the award.
