Against The Spread Play – Chicago Bulls at Sacramento Kings

Looking at the Kings on the surface, we would see they’ve only won four total games by more than five points. Looking a little deeper, they have played a difficult schedule and have only played six games against teams with a worse record than them. They have won four of those games, the exact same four games they won by 5+ and additionally those are the four most recent games. The Kings haven’t had a plethora of games they are supposed to win, but have been producing when those matchups come. The Bulls have been bottom feeders on the road (and overall) so far, only notching wins against the true bottom of the barrel teams as they remain second worst in offensive efficiency. The Kings are just middle of the pack but are more than the teams the Bulls have found any success against and look for that trend to continue tonight.

On Friday, we needed the favorable -3 line we got on the Raptors as Fred Vanvleet and Pascal Siakam combined to shoot 11/42 in 7 point win. The shooting couldn’t have been much worse and this game was tighter than it should have been, but they got the job done.

On Sunday, the Mavericks getting 6.5 just owned the second half and blew the Lakers out on their home floor and we saw the starters leave and the mop up players enter with over two minutes left. The 14 point win was as high as 21 late in the game and you were richly rewarded if you got aggressive and played the Mavs on the money line. Even just taking the points, there was no sweat to this win.

The 2-0 stretch brings us to 24-16 on the season.
