NBA Pick – Thunder at Clippers 11/18

With there being a good number of favorites in the 7-10 point line range with some level of attractiveness on Monday, it was somewhat difficult to decide whether to go with the single strongest play on the slate or to offer multiple options. The Bucks -8.5, Rockets -7.5 and Jazz -10 all have merits as plays in this spread range, but none are as strong of a play as the Clippers at home in somewhat of a milestone event: the first game in which the league’s best team has both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George on the floor together. The Clippers are 7-1 at home and that lone loss was a game choosing to rest Kawhi Leonard while Paul George was still not quite ready to take the floor. The Thunder are 0-4 on the road with the most recent loss being a 26 point drubbing at the hands of the Pacers, and they won’t have any answer for the Kawhi/PG combo in another spot where the Clippers aren’t yet getting the point spread respect they deserve. Take the Clippers at home.

With the loss on Friday being due to Malcolm Brogdon leaving in the first quarter, it was at least an easy one to get back on the Pacers back to back sans Brogdon and Lamb. On Saturday the Bucks controlled the game throughout and ultimately won by 19 while laying -5. The Pacers backcourt was simply too shorthanded to keep up.

The win brings us to 17-11 on the season.
