UFC Vegas San Diego is a live televised Fight Night Card. The trip to Southern California means fans will be in attendance, which always adds an element. As always, the card will be streaming live on ESPN+. Additionally, this card will be televised on ESPN, for both the main card and the prelims.
The 13 fight card takes place on Saturday, August 13th, 2022. The first fighters will make the walk to the octagon at 4PM EST.
The card is headlined by an interesting striking heavy matchup at bantamweight. Longtime elite Dominick Cruz takes on the advancing Marlon “Chito” Vera. The co-main event is going to be a fun one at featherweight. While there is no star power, we are quite likely to see a KO from either David Onama or Nate Landwehr. The card leading into that does not bring star power, but it should bring finishes. Many finishes. Eight of the remaining eleven fights are expected to end inside the distance by betting line.

✅ Pick - Dominick Cruz +185 over Marlon Vera
Much like last week, I'll be betting against a fighter in a main event that I do not enjoy betting against. Thiago Santos was that fighter last week and Marlon Vera is the fighter this week. Vera was able to overcome volume disparity ini his most recent two fights with power. His power finished Frankie Edgar and knocked down Rob Font thrice. He was losing that fight against Edgar and needed the finish. He was out struck by Font but the knockdowns won rounds for him. He now finds himself against a more elusive and more durable fighter than the previous two in Dominick Cruz. Cruz has superior footwork and is very good about not taking damage while touching up his opponents. This is a rough stylistic matchup for Vera that I do not think his power will be enough to overcome. Again, I'm a fan of Vera, but believe this fight to be mis lined at such a wide figure. We will take the value on the underdog.
