UFC Vegas 55 is a somewhat lackluster Fight Night card streaming live on ESPN+ from the Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. This card takes us back to the Apex for the second of three Fight Night cards.
The 11 fight card takes place on Saturday, May 21st, 2022. The first fighters will make the walk to the octagon at 4 PM EST. You can stream the entirety of the card live on ESPN+. The card features a main event at the top of the wpmen's bantamweight division. Holly Holm will try to take a step to earn another title shot against rising contender Ketlen Vieira. The co-main event is the one to watch, as Santiago Ponzibbio and Michel Pereira will bang it out at welterweight.

✅ Pick - Chidi Njokuani ITD +110 over Dusko Todorovic
Chidi Njokuani is fast becoming a knock out artist. That is very bad news for his current opponent, Dusko Todorovic. We have seen the durability of Todorovic fail in the past. His pressuring style will see him walk right onto stiff strikes in this one. Njokuani will be able to pour on the damage for as long as the fight lasts in the stand up. I don't believe Todorovic will be able to get the fight to the mat where it needs to be, and Njokuani is set up for another knockout.
✅ Pick - Tabatha Ricci -130 over Polyana Viana
Polyana Viana has won consecutive fights via armbar against far less capable grapplers. The UFC recognized this and matched her up with a truly credentialed grappler. Tabatha Ricci brings black belts in both Judo and BJJ, and is levels above Viana as a grappler. Viana has subpar takedown defense and is content to fight off her back. Ricci will take the fight down at will. Even if Ricci does not find a submission, her top control time will be the obvious differentiator in this fight.
✅ Pick - Joseph Holmes ITD +105 over Alen Amedovski
It was a surprise to me when this fight was made, mostly because I did not realize Alen Amedovski was still on the UFC roster. He has not fought in three years with his last outing seeing him smoked in 14 seconds. Amedovski brings something of a power element but I do not believe him to be UFC roster caliber. This fight is essentially the easiest the promotion could make for Joseph Holmes. Holmes is a vastly superior grappler who likely finds a submission with just one takedown. Holmes will also have a massive length advantage which will allow him to control range in the standup. Take him inside the distance.
