UFC Vegas 53 is a Fight Night card streaming live on ESPN+ from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. This card marks the third of three straight that will originate from the Apex.
The 12 fight card takes place on Saturday April 30th, 2022. The first fighters will make the walk to the octagon at 4PM EST. You can stream the entirety of the card live on ESPN+. The main event is a solid one between Rob Font and Marlon Vera. The rest of the card is lacking in overall quality of fights. However, we do still have a couple rock solid betting opportunities.

✅ Pick - Grant Dawson -175 over Jared Gordon
Grant Dawson will continue to bring a striking game that still needs much work and a grapping game that will continue to notch wins in the octagon. He has not lost in six trips to the octagon and he is a favorite once again. Jared Gordon will be the better striker and is a solid grappler, but he will not be able to stuff the takedowns. Dawson will become relentless if needed and force the fight to the mat. Gordon's takedown defense has failed him in the past and it will once again in this fight. Dawson is the larger and stronger fighter whose top control on the mat will be the difference in the fight, whether he finds a finish or not.
✅ Pick - Gina Mazany -175 over Shanna Young
Shanna Young is quite likely making her last walk to the octagon. She is winless in three fights under the UFC banner. She has been taken down in all of those fights and finished on the floor twice. That does not include an Invicta fight with a current UFC fighter in which she was also finished on the mat. Things are not looking up for Young as Mazany is a wrestler and grappler that brings the exact skill set that has plagued Young from her opponents. Mazany will get the fight to the mat with relative ease and will be able to control and work to finish. The only worry for Mazany is gassing in the third round. However, I do believe James Krause will ive her a game plan to both succeed and have energy for the full fight.
