As you can easily tell by the line movement on this one, the Mavericks will be without their star power in this one. Both Luka Doncic and Kristaps Porzingis will be sitting out for this contest. What will actually be a silver lining for us is that Donovan Mitchell is sitting out for the Jazz as well, keeping the line tight enough that we will be able to attack the Jazz. The Mavericks are perhaps the least equipped team in the playoff picture to be without both of their stars and to still remain competitive, while the Jazz are more of a balanced squad. With this being the case, the Jazz will be able to exploit the nature of each team in today’s matchup. The Jazz have won both games thus far in the season series and will make it a clean sweep today as the Mavs wave the white flag as they look towards the playoffs, essentially believing the two game gap between them and the Jazz for the 6th seed in the west is not a mountain that can be climbed as the clock ticks down on the regular season. Take the Jazz to roll as they look to jump the Thunder for the fifth seed and perhaps even the Rockets for the fourth seed.
